This moving coil pre preamp PCB uses extremely low noise devices. The configuration is a parallel push-pull pair which reduces the noise by a further 1.4 times.
For the Crimson 510/610 it can be fitted with a bypass switch to enable MM or MC.
The layout is new and minimises magnetic loops to reduce hum pickup. The PCB is smaller than previous MCs and will need a small adjustment to the fixing mount.
Capacitors in the signal path are used in push pull which largely cancels any capacitor distortion.
Gain is x30 and the standard load is 330 Ohms, but that can be changed. MC loading is a lot less critical than loading for MM.
